My own little "Parade of Homes"

I just finished up one of the most exciting projects I have done. I love decorating my own house. I love helping others with their houses. But so far this tops it all.
Back in August, while still oh so pregnant with Evan, we bought a condo with my parents. The whole idea was to buy, fix up, then sell. Each of us had our own talents that we brought to the table on this little venture and even though towards the end of helping paint 1800 square feet of house I was over painting, It was great seeing the place transformed.

Now this is definitely a budget remodel. Mostly just paint and a few smaller projects to update the place. Most of the money was spent on a new heating and cooling system for the place.

So, here, I'm excited to share the before and after pictures with you. I have a little pride in the fact that I was in charge of almost all of the color, flooring and design choices along with the decor in the staging of the place. It was such a rewarding experience to start with 'nothing' and then stand back in the end with a complete project and think, 'hey, I played a major role in creating this look' I hope you enjoy too!

If you know me you might be wondering what I'm sitting on at my own house. Ha! Thankfully I am borrowing a friend's couch and table.

We decided to keep most of the curtains, because they are in good shape and on nice custom rods. I did replace the ones in the 'dining room' and found that the Ikea curtains fit great with the existing set up. If there was an Ikea in St. George I would've considered replacing more. But just ran out of time.

I love that we changed the flooring in the entry to the dining room removed the cabinets in the kitchen. It made the area feel so much more open.

We added a 3rd bedroom upstairs and a shower to the upstairs bath.

The wall color throughout most of the house is Agreeable Gray by Sherwin Williams

Some of the decor is from my house and some I purchased from Bed Bath & Beyond, Kohls, and Walmart.

So we bought, fixed up... now we just need it SOLD! (know anyone who is looking?)
